On the basis of a comparative analysis between Nietzsche's Third extemporary consideration entitled “Schopenhauer as an educator” and the chapter of Parerga and Paralipomena dedicated to the universitarian philosophy, this article aims to show that the nietzschean writing, nothithstanding all the theoretic differences it reveals in regard to Schopenhauer`s thinking, presents a conception of philosophy that is in accordance to that very thinking.
